Portuguese Escudo de ouro, duas rodas de azenha de vermelho saíntes de um pé ondado de três tiras, de azul e prata, sendo esta carregada com dois peixes de vermelho; em chefe, bacelo de vide de verde, folhado e gavinhado do mesmo e frutado de cinco cachos de uvas de púrpura. Coroa mural de prata de quatro torres. Listel branco, com a legenda a negro: "RIO DE MOÍNHOS - SÁTÃO".

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on February 8, 2001.

The arms are canting, the name means river of mills, and thus show two water mill wheels in a river. The chief shows a vine, as a symbol of the importance of viticulture in the parish.
