Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on December 22, 2020.

The first quarter is a canting element (frêne=fresne=ash). The beaver and the blue wavy bars refer to the Bièvre (meaning beaver) rivers (old and new Bièvre) in the municipality.

The third quarter refers to the Roujoux castle in the municipality and the grapes to the (former) importance of viticulture.
