Origin/meaning

These arms have been officially granted on 5th July 1994.

The ploughshare is the attribute of St. Isidore, the patron saint of peasants; this saint's day (15th May), the village celebrates its second main festival, being the first main festival the 3rd August, St. Stephen (the local patron saint). This traditional emblem of the arms of Tavèrnoles is also an allusion to the agriculture as the main economic resource of the village.

The two bars Argent on Sable are the arms of the barons of Savassona, lords of Tavèrnoles.
