English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on February 20, 1996.

The arms show one of the bridges over the Douro river, which runs along the town. The two wheels are the wheel of St. Catherine (top), patron saint of the town, and an wheel symbolising the local industry. The meaning of the axes I do not know.
