Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on June 2, 2003.
The boar refers to the local fauna and symbolizes courage and power.
The project of arms was designed and provided for approval on September 17, 1968, but its approval was stopped by the local delegate, the teacher of secondary school O. Bartulyte. Next year the artist deceased, and in 1970 the Heraldry Commission was abolished. When after 35 years the arms of Troškūnaiwas discussed again, then the local delegates agreed with the previously rejected arms.
