Motto: Flucto sed affulo

Origin/meaning

The Black and White Esk Rivers rise in Ettrick, conjoin west of Eskdale and meet the Sea in the Solway Firth. The Motto translates as "I flow but I flow onwards". The Badge was approved on 13 December 1932.
