Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted in 2003.
The ferryman refers to the ferry service established in the 18th century across the Wublitz river, symbolized by the wavy base. The two black hooks are taken from the arms of the noble family von Hake, who were lords of the Paretz manor in the municipality from 1460 to 1797.
