Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on January 22, 1997.

The arms symbolise the two rivers Flöha and Zschopau that run through and join in the city. The arms were probably adopted in the 1950s and based on the old seal of the village. The present arms, with a blue field instead of a black field, were adopted in 1997.
