Schild geteilt, oben in Schwarz eine goldene Gewandfibel, unten blau-golden geschacht.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 7, 1977.

The upper part shows a golden clasp, found in the village in 1936, and dates from the 5th century BC. The base shows the quartered shield of the Sponheim County, to which the area historically belonged.
