DUCHEROW
State : Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
District (Kreis) : Vorpommern-Greifswald (until 2011 Ostvorpommern)
Amt : Anklam-Land (until 2005 Amt Ducherow)
Official blazon
In Silber, aus einem grünen Dreiberg wachsend, ein roter gold bewehrter Greif mit geöffnetem Schnabel und ausgeschlagener roter Zunge, der in seinen Fängen eine rote Raute hält.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on July 10, 1992.
The red griffin in the arms is the symbol of Vorpommern, the area to which the village belongs. The red diamond is taken from the arms of the Counts of Schwerin, who for many centuries owned the Ducherow Estate. The base shows a small mountain, which is a symbol for the village of Heidberg in the municipality.
