Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 3, 2006.

The St. Andrew's cross refers to the battles against the Moors during the liberation of Spain (Reconquista). The second quarter represents the position of the town to defend the dogma of the Immaculate Conception, as reflected in the twelfth chapter of Revelation.

The lower half represents the walled town itself, with the door open as a symbol of hospitality.
