Escudo de negro, roda de navalhas de ouro entre dois decotes de prata, postos em pala, encimando uma parreira de ouro, folhada e gavinhada do mesmo e frutada de prata. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco, com a legenda a negro : “ VILA FACAIA “.

Origin/meaning :
The arms were officially granted on May 2, 2002.

The wheel is the symbol of St. Catherine, the local patron saint. Th two tree trunks and the vine with grapes refer to the forests and the importance of viticulture in the parish.
