VIMPELLES

Département : Seine-et-Marne

Blason de Vimpelles

Official blason

Origin/meaning

The two wavy bends symbolise the Seine and the Auxence rivers in the municipality. The boar's head is the symbol of St. Cyr, the local patron saint. The green colour and the wheat refer to the agricultural character of the village. The tow wheatears are shown in the shape of the letter V, the initial of the municipality.
