Parti: au 1er d’or à l’ours dressé et contourné de sable, colleté de gueules, au 2e de gueules au lion d’argent, la queue fourchue et passée en sautoir, armé et couronné d’or.

Origin/meaning

The bear is the symbol of St. Maximin(ius), the local patron saint. The lion is taken from the arms of the Counts of Roussy, former lords of the village.
