Additions : 1972 Dachstadt, Rüsselbach, Stöckach
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on May 28, 1977.
The eagle in the arms is taken from the arms of the city of Nürnberg, as the village belonged to the Hiltpoltstein district of the State of Nürnberg from the 16th until the early 19th century.
The cherries indicate that the area is one of the largest areas in Germany for cherry cultivation. The chief shows the cross of St. George, the patron saint of the local church of St. George.
