Origin/meaning

The arms are quartered and show in I and IV a cross. This cros sis known as the cross of St. Ulrich and was part of the arms of the wo large abbeys in Augsburg, St. Ulrich and St. Afra. The two other fields show the Agnus Dei as a generic Christian symbol.
