The word Bays in old English lettering wihtin a wreath of laurel, with the crown above between the ends of the wreath. In gilt or gilding metal.
Origin/meaning
The Badge alludes to the name of the Regiment. This orignated as a nickname because since the mid 18th Century the Regiment was mounted on Bay Horses. And in 1870 the word was officialy incorporated into the Regimental Title.
