Official blazon

Un scut bipartit, tăiat pe orizontală de o fascie undată, argintie. În cartierul de sus, în câmp roșu, se află două crenguțe de fag cu câte trei frunze și un fruct, totul de argint. În vârful scutului, în câmp verde, se află un miel pascal, orientat spre dreapta, cu o cruce pe umăr, de argint. Scutul este trimbrat de o coroană murală de argint, cu un turn crenelat.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on October 21, 2004.

Beech represents the deciduous forests in the area.

The wavy silver bar represents the Caras mountain river.

The Agnus Dei signifies the presence of the Catholic community.

The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
