History: Formed at Upper Heyford in Septermber 1918.

Badge: A lion rampant chequy sable and argent.
Motto: Our cannons speak our thoughts.

Origin/meaning

The Lion symbolises the fighting power of the Unit, the Black and White checks symbolises Night and Day operations. The Badge was granted in August 1943.
