The golden mountain is a canting element, Pausin is derived from a word that means something like "place on the heights". The horseshoe refers to the local equestrian center, where the second largest indoor equestrian tournament in Berlin-Brandenburg begins every October. The loaves of bread symbolize the tradition of the bakery trade in the village.
