Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 9, 1980.

The golden wavy bar refers to the Donau river and the many small brooks and streams, that were searched for gold in previous centuries. The sword is the symbol for the local patron saint, St. Albanus of England. The fish refers to the former importance of fishieries in the municipality.
