History: Formed in 1959 by the amalgamation of The South Staffordshire Regiment, British Army with The North Staffordshire Regiment (The Prince of Wales's), British Army to form The Staffordshire Regiment (The Prince of Wales's), British Army.

Origin/meaning

The Main Feature of the Badge is the so called Staffordshire Knot, to which has been added the Badge of the Prince of Wales.
