CAXAMBU

State : Minas Gerais

Caxambu.jpg

Origin/meaning

The arms show a symbol of medicine in front of the green triangle, derived from the flag of the State of Minas Gerais.

The shield is surrounded by flowers of the well known Hibiscus tree, a typical tree in the area, which is seen along the streets and avenues of the city.

The crest shows the crown of Dom Pedro, on a pedestal where, from three taps, copious and foamy water gushes spout, symbolising the variety and quantity of our mineral waters.

The motto means Medicine between flowers.
