In geteiltem Schild oben in Gold ein schreitender roter Löwe, unten in Blau ein silberner Fisch. Origin/meaning The arms were adopted in 1906 and granted in 1930. The arms are based on the oldest seal of the city, dating from the early 17th century. The lion in the upper half is derived from the arms of the Counts of Löwenstein-Wertheim-Freudenberg, who acquired the city in 1611. The lower half shows a fish, as fishing in the Murr at the time was of importance for the town.
