Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The oak tree with five leaves symbolises the five villages in the municipality, as well as the many oaks found in the area. The golden colour is taken from the arms of the Counts of Hoya, whereas the green symbolises the green fields. The wavy bars symbolise the Aue and Flöte rivers. The base symbolises the agricultural character of the village.
