Origin/meaningThe arms are based on the arms of Ulrich von Eck, who, in 1352 acquired the town. His arms were divided per bend of silver and black. As canting addition a mill (Mühle) wheel was added to the lower half. When the town became part of Bayern, the upper half was replaced by the arms of Bayern.
