Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on August 6, 1985.
The arms were adopted in the mid 1980s. The arms show the local castle and the cross of the Templars, or the Knights of St. John of Malta, who ruled the village for some time. The arms were adopted amongst much debate. There was another design, showing arrows and a crescent, but this design was not adopted.
