Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on February 19, 1937.

The arms refer to the old name of the village, Wodenswegen. Woden comes from Wodan (or Odin), the Germanic god whose symbol is a raven. The roses are taken from the medieval Lords Von Wodenswegen.
