Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on July 19, 1957.
The dog's head with collar are taken form the arms of the Rüdt von Collenberg family, who owned large parts of the municipality until the mid 17th century. The waves represent the local rivers, the sword the former high court held in the village in medieval times. The colours ar ethose of the State of Mainz, to which the village historically belonged.
