Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on November 21, 1955.

The arms are canting, Olsbrücken means a bridge over the water with eels. Hence the bridge and an eel in the arms. The colours are those of the Wittelsbach family, Princes of the Pfalz, to which the village belonged until 1803.
