Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on ??

The green chief with the circular decoration refer to the many small rivers and brooks in the municipality. The green refers to the meadows and forests.

The frog is a very typical animal in these waters and already for a long period of time the people from the neighbouring villages use the nickname 'Vahler Hüpper' for the villagers. As Hüpper means 'junmper' the frog was seen as an appropriate symbol.
