Gevierendeeld I en IV in keel een los middenin het veld staande kegelvormige berg met zes spitse toppen geplaatst 1:2:3, alles van zilver; II en III in azuur een zilveren gans.


Origin/meaning

The badge shows the Personal Arms of Admiral Jhr. Jan Hendrik van Kinsbergen (1735-1819) who had a distinguished career in Russian and Dutch Service. He was responsible for modernising the Navy in many areas. The badge was approved 23 April 1953. Serveral Ships have used the Name, 1st a Cruiser in Service 1939-1955, 2nd a Frigate in Service 1980-1995 (Sold to Greece as Navarinon) and 3rd Training Ship in Service since 1999.
