Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted in 1977. Unfortunately we have no information on the meaning or origin of these arms yet.

The previous arms were granted in 1956 and show in the point the lion of the Lords of Delligsen-Hohenbüchen. They ruled the village until 1355. The crowned C is the symbol of the local steel factory Carlshütte, founded by the Dukes of Braunschweig in 1735. The miner's tools are a symbol for the mining in the area.
