Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted in 2004.
The cross is a reference to the State of Trier, as the area belonged for a long time to the archdiocese and State of Trier. The colours and the leopards are taken from the arms of the Counts of Diez to which the village belonged. The N is the initial letter for the village name.
