Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on February 16, 1952.
Stockstadt developed on the spot of a Roman village and fortress on the border of the Roman Empire, The fortress was excavated since 1855 and many important objects have been found. To symbolise the fortress a Roman helmet was placed in the arms. The wavy bar symbolises the Main river, whereas the colours are those of Bayern.
