Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on January 4, 2005, but are much older.

The oldest seal of the city dates from 1399 and already shows a bull. All later seals and images also show the bull. The meaning of the bull is not clear. It may be a symbol for animal husbandry or of strength.
