Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on December 28, 1970.
The village was in medieval times a possession of the Counts of Castell, with the Voit von Rieneck family as local governors. The horn is taken from the Voit von Rieneck arms, the quartered half shows the arms of the Counts of Castell. The wavy pale is a cating element (source of a river, Bach-Ursprung).
