State : Schleswig-Holstein
District (Kreis) : Rendsburg-Eckernförde
Amt : Amt Flintbek

Official blazon

Schräglinks im Wellenschnitt geteilt. Oben in Silber ein rot gezungter schwarzer Eberkopf, unten in Blau ein silbernes Mühlrad.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on September 3, 1981.

The division of the arms is taken from the arms of the district. The waves symbolise the Eider river. The boar's head in the upper part is taken from the arms of the medieval Swin family, who were mentioned as owners of the village in 1260. The lower part shows a symbol for the historical watermill in the village, which was first mentioned in the 14th century.
