Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: On a Red rectangular shaped embroidered device convexed at top and bottom, edged with a 1/8 (.32 cm) inch White border, blazoned as follows: Gules a torch palewise inflamed Argent, surmounting two olive branches crossed in base, to dexter chief a book of knowledge tilted bendwise sinister surmounted by a feather of the second, and to sinister chief the foot of Hermes toe to sinister of the same. Attached above, a Red scroll inscribed “CENTRAL” in White letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height. Attached below, a Red scroll inscribed “HIGH SCHOOL” in white letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width.

Shoulder Loop Insignia. Description: A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Quarterly Argent and Gules by a cross diminished, in first quarter a book of knowledge open face of the first edged Silver, in second quarter two hands clasping fesswise of the last, in third quarter the winged foot of Hermes toe to base of the same, in fourth quarter a quill pen feather point to base Silver. Below the shield, a Red scroll inscribed “COBBLERS” conjoined on each side by a branch of olive crossed at base and ascending to chief in base metal.

Origin/meaning

Shoulder Sleeve Insignia: Red and white are the school’s colors. The book of knowledge with quill pen feather is symbolic of scholarship. The winged foot of Hermes represents athleticism. The torch and wreath symbolize leadership and loyalty. The Cobbler is the school’s mascot.

Shoulder Loop Insignia: Red and white are the school’s colors. The book of knowledge is symbolic of scholarship. The hands clasping signify friendship. The winged foot of Hermes represents athleticism. The quill pen feather represents penmanship. The Cobbler is the school’s mascot.

The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia and the Shoulder Loop Insignia was both approved 21 February 2007.
