17TH LANCERS (DUKE OF CAMBRIDGE'S OWN), BRITISH ARMY

History: Raised in 1759 as 18th Light Dragoons, become in 1876 17th (Duke of Cambridge's Own) Lancers. In 1922 amalgamated with 21st Lancers (Empress of India's), British Army to form 17th-21st Lancers, British Army.
