Primero, en campo de plata, medio cuerpo de rey, coronado de oro, con corona abierta, rostro de carnación; dalmática de gules y tres castillos de oro en ella; bordura de gules con dieciséis castillos de oro. Segundo, en campo de gules, castillo de oro, mampostado de sable y aclarado de gules. Al timbre, corona real de España. El escudo va sobre una cartela blanca. |

Origin/meaning
The arms were created and officially granted on November 9, 1877 and confirmed on October 17, 2008.
The arms are combination of the arms of the city of Burgos and the castle of Castille.
