Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted on September 28, 2000.
The arms are based on a picture made by a local historian in 1991. This image showed a church, forest and three monks. There has never been a true church in the village, but historically there was a farm owned by a monastery.
In 1999 the arms were designed and the three monks remained in the upper half. The lower half shows three hills, symbol for the geographical situation of the village, and the village well. A medieval well was discovered in the village in 1991.
