Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on June 21, 1938.
The key is the symbol of St. Peter, the local patron saint. The divided shield symbolises the large avalanche that occurred in 1295 and resulted in a division of the village into the villages of Oberdorf and Niederdorf. Ever since the villages have been separated.
