SAMTGEMEINDE SICKTE

State : Niedersachsen
District (Kreis) : Wolfenbüttel
Additions : 1974 Samtgemeinde Dettum

Wappen von Samtgemeinde Sickte/Arms (crest) of Samtgemeinde Sickte
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 22, 1967.

The arms are identical to the arms of the former municipality of Obersickte and from 1967-74 the arms represented both Obersickte as well as the Samtgemeinde. As this caused several problems, the arms were granted with the restriction of use on the seal of the Samtgemeinde only. As Obersickte became part of the municipality of Sickte in 1974, the arms of Obersickte became obsolete and the Samtgemeinde has used the arms ever since.
