NO 893 SQUADRON, FAA

History: First formed in 1942 at Royal Naval Air Station Donibristle. The Squadron served in all theaters from the Arctic to the Tropics gaining four Battle Honours before disabanding in 1943. YHe proposed refroming in 1944 did not materialise, but finally occured in 1965. Following a new disbanding in 1970.

English Perty per paly blue and black; a base wavy of six white and blue overall a flash of lightning sinister chief white winged gold striking the water in dexter base.

Motto: Saepe feriendum.

Origin/meaning

The Latin Motto translates as "Strike often". The Badge was approved on 25 April 1944.
