Escut caironat: d'atzur, un sinistrogir nu d'argent empunyant una destral d'or, en actitud de batre un socó d'argent posat en pal. Per timbre una corona mural de vila.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on June 18, 1991.

The arms are canting: they show an arm with a axe cutting down ("abatent" in Catalan) a tree, and it's a traditional sign of the arms of Batea.
