Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on April 29, 1998.
The upper part shows two lettuces, symbol for the former importance of agriculture. Especially vegetalbles were cultivated for the Lisbon markets. The cross refers to the Quinta do Cabeço, the Patriarchal Seminary of Christ the King, the former seminary and now seat of the Cardinal Patriarch of Lisbon.
The wavy bar refers to the Tagus river. The honeycomb in the base refers to the dense population in the parish and the many different people in Moscavide.
