TRAMM (MECKLENBURG)

State : Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
District (Kreis) : Ludwigslust-Parchim
Amt: Amt Crivitz
Additions : 2011 Göhren

Wappen von Tramm (Mecklenburg)/Coat of arms (crest) of Tramm (Mecklenburg)
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in September 2021.

The name Tramm may have been derived from the family name Traba, meaning trumpet. Hence the trumpet in the arms symbolises the village of Tramm. The horse head symbolises the village Settin, as a State horse breeding station was established there in 1560.

The village of Bahlenhüschen is represented by the antlers as there used to be a forestry estate. The base represents the Settiner See (lake) near the village of Göhren.
