SUSUMAN (Сусуман)

Federal subject : Magadan Oblast
District (Rayon) : Susumansky Rayon

Arms of/Герб Susuman

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on February 19, 2009.

The arms show that Susuman is in the heart of the Kolyma gold mining region. The blue pale is the Susuman river and the two golden drops refer to the gold-containing sand in the river.

The arms replaced older arms adopted in 1974 showing the hills and gold mining equipment.
