Official blazon

In Rot übereinander ein untenhalbes silbernes Rad, ein goldenes Hirschgeweih und eine silberne Muschel.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 22, 1985.

The village historically belonged to the Counts of Rieneck and since the late 16th century to the State of Mainz. The wheel and the silver-red colours are those of the State of Mainz. The gold-red colours are those of Rieneck. The Prince-Archbishops of Mainz built hunting lodge in the nearby forests, which is symbolised by the deer antlers. The shell is the symbol of St. James (Jakobus), the patron saint of Wiesen.
